Funding to tackle the climate change among the top agenda of Warsaw

The 19th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UNFCCC and the 9th session of the Conference of the Parties serving as the Meeting of the Parties to the Kyoto Protocol will take place from 11 to 22 November. The conference will be held at the National Stadium in Warsaw, Poland. The provisional agenda of the meeting has been made available by UNFCCC. However the expectations from this meet is not very high but the meeting is being seen as a stepping stone for the global pact to be signed in 2015. Negotiator would definitely try to device a solution to make sure that 2015 agreement is achievable. Even some of agencies from United States are keen and willing for the success of global pact considering it as a need of time. From last six months development it is being considered that US will also participate positively for the global pact however till date it hasn’t rectified the Kyoto Protocol. It is for sure that all participating countries will disclose their stand and based on that we will be able to speculate for the future of Carbon Markets. On the top agenda of the meeting the funding issue will be the prime one as Least Developing countries as well as Developing countries have lack resources and money to combat with climate change and its consequences. No groundbreaking agreements are likely in Warsaw, the main focus will be laying the groundwork for next year’s negotiations in Lima, Peru, and final talks in Paris in 2015.
