This news is from the 77th meeting of the Executive Board of the clean development mechanism, which opened today in Bonn, Germany.
Hugh Sealy of Barbados and Lambert Schneider of Germany will serve as Chair and Vice-Chair of the CDM Executive Board, respectively, until the first meeting of the Board in 2015.
Mr. Sealy, an environmental scientist and chemical engineer who has served on the Board since 2008, is a Professor at St. George’s University in Grenada.
Mr. Schneider, who joined the Board in 2013, is engaged in research and consultancy on carbon markets, climate policy and energy policy.
The new Chair takes over from Peer Stiansen of Norway. The new Vice-Chair takes over from Mr. Sealy.
