Punjab 250 MW Solar Bid Results

 

Request for proposal (RfP) document for new grid connected solar photo voltaic power projects – 250 MW capacity under phase – II was issued by PEDA on 24th DEC 2014.

 

The projects were divided in to three categories as per capacity band of the SPV projects defined below.

 

Category–I: 50 MW Capacity (project capacity 1 MW to 4 MW)

Category–II: 100 MW Capacity (project capacity 5 MW to 24 MW)

Category–III: 100 MW Capacity (project capacity 25 MW to 50 MW)

 

The suggested tariff for discounted bidding was INR 7.72 and INR 6.95 for the project availing AD benefits and for the projects not availing AD benefits respectively.

 

Bid submission and Non financial bid opening were on January 28, 2015. 21 Bids were received for category – I project, 7 for Category – II projects and 5 bids were received for category – III projects. In total for all categories 33 bids were received with gross capacity of 388 MW.

 

The financial bids opened on February 10, 2015 and list of winning bidders is provided below

With the closure of the Punjab allocations, new state level allocations are now expected only in Uttar Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. Also the request for proposal for rooftop implementation under grid connected SPV power plant in Punjab is still open and last date is 26th Feb 2015. In wake of last bidding scenario of Punjab it is expected that the complete potential in term of capacity will be subscribed by the investors.
